Early Years
Marine Park Primary is proud to offer a welcoming and nurturing 26-place nursery for children aged 3 and 4 years old. Led by experienced early years staff, our nursery provides a safe, stimulating environment where children can play, learn, and grow in confidence as they begin their educational journey. We focus on building strong foundations in communication, social skills, and early learning through fun, engaging activities tailored to each child’s needs.
On entry to our Reception class we provide an inspiring start to your child's educational journey. Our dedicated team focuses on the holistic development of early years children, ensuring they receive a balanced blend of academic, social, and emotional support. We strive to create an engaging environment that fosters curiosity, confidence, and a love for learning, laying a strong foundation for their future academic success.
EYFS Foundational Knowledge
At Marine Park Primary, our EYFS Knowledge and Skills Progression documents articulate the precise foundational knowledge that children must secure in order to access a broad and ambitious curriculum. By defining what children need to know and be able to do at each stage we ensure that learning builds cumulatively and that no essential steps are missed. Establishing strong foundations in communication, early literacy, mathematics, and the wider curriculum is critical for reducing later disadvantage and ensuring that all pupils are well prepared for the demands of Key Stage 1. Our curriculum prioritises the secure acquisition of foundational knowledge and supports every child to make strong and sustained progress.
